New York, NY, 3 October 2024: TradeHeader, the financial data standards integration and software consultancy, today announces that it has won the Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS) ‘Leading the Pack’ Members Award 2024, at the FINOS Open Source in Finance Forum (OSFF) event in New York.
The award recognises the transformational work TradeHeader has contributed to FINOS’ Common Domain Model (CDM) project, by providing expert training on the model to FINOS member organisations’ in-house teams. The award also recognises TradeHeader’s recent expansion of work with FINOS, to provide CDM LLM research under the organisation’s AI Strategic Initiative.
The FINOS ‘Leading the Pack’ Award is presented to a member organization that not only demonstrates a deep commitment to open source in FINOS, but also actively empowers and inspires others on their open source journey, setting a shining example of how open source organizations can thrive.
TradeHeader’s capabilities in CDM and the International Swaps & Derivatives Association’s (ISDA) Digital Regulatory Reporting (DRR) are unique.
Firstly, it has a strong track record in providing DRR training to its clients’ regulatory teams. TradeHeader’s consultants are the definitive experts in the use of the Common Domain Model (CDM), as the company is a co-creator of both CDM and DRR. As such, TradeHeader is uniquely positioned to accelerate projects, providing tangible outputs without clients having to commit more internal resources to the task.
Secondly, TradeHeader translates intricate regulatory rules into code with precision, with the functional logic of each rule being implemented and distributed in multiple programming languages in an open source license. TradeHeader extends and customises the generated code, creating seamless integrations with existing client systems to help organisations implement DRR efficiently and accurately. The implemented code then generates the regulatory reporting for client firms to submit to regulators. This eliminates the need for teams to sift through and interpret thousands of pages of PDF rules, making adoption and compliance quicker, more accurate and much more cost-effective.
Marc Gratacos, Founder and Managing Partner of TradeHeader, said: “Regulatory compliance is no longer a one-off project that companies can complete and move on from - we at TradeHeader understand that it is an ongoing fact of life for organisations in the financial space. Many firms do not have the resources, time, or in-house expertise to implement the Common Domain Model and Digital Regulatory Reporting frameworks themselves. TradeHeader is committed to helping companies to meet these challenges using our proven blend of technology and industry expertise.”
He added: “We are delighted to have our work recognised by such an important organisation as FINOS and we are thrilled to accept this award. I would like to thank our driven team of experts who work tirelessly to deliver the best advice and services possible anywhere in the market. This award is really down to our entire team.”
Along with the contributions to FINOS, recognised in this award, TradeHeader is also an active member of ISDA,FpML, and the FIX Trading Community. It chairs several working groups and co-creates the very data standards it advises on and facilitates.
